Talk of the Town brings you the latest in news, (free) music and celebrity gossip.

Teen idol Miley Cyrus' "G-rated" image has taken a hit after she posed for a series of provocative photos. The "Hannah Montana" star appears inside the pages of the upcoming Vanity Fair flashing her bra, lying across a boy's lap, and appearing semi-nude. The singer has apologized to fans and says she's embarrassed by the shots that were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. The Disney Channel, which airs Hannah Montana, backed up the rising star, saying in a statement that "a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines."

Coldplay has joined the growing list of bands that are giving their music away. The British group is offering their first single from their new album for free over the Internet. Fans can download the song "Violet Hill" by going to the group's website starting next week.

Despite battling personal demons, troubled pop star Amy Winehouse's career remains on track. The singer is working hard to come up with the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace." But it was only this past weekend that Winehouse spent a night in jail after being taken in over an assault charge.

Rumors are swirling over the potential engagement of pop diva Mariah Carey. The singer was seen recently sporting a huge engagement ring. Neither Carey nor her boyfriend Nick Cannon are talking.

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was the top choice at the foreign box office during the weekend, earning an estimated 7 million U.S. dollars from nine markets. The romantic comedy played especially well in the U.K..

Gamers are counting the hours to the midnight launch of "Grand Theft Auto IV." The latest chapter in the wildly popular and controversial criminal action franchise will likely smash the 300 million dollars mark in first week sales.

Lastly, Paris Hilton and her rocker boyfriend Benji Madden were among those making the rounds at the Coachella music festival over the weekend. The Southern California desert gathering is one of the largest music events in the U.S.
