Also, the Australian documentary criticised the Dubrovnik police for denying that there had been evidence of kidnap attempts in which coastal city of Croatia, although one Australian girl reported the kidnapping attempt to Dubrovnik police, while another reporter the attempt to the Australian Federal Police, which notified the Dubrovnik police about the kidnap attempt.
The parents of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, Dale and Elke, said in the documentary that they believed that their daughter had been killed and want for her death to be investigated to the very end.

They also stressed that the Dubrovnik police ignored that the kidnap attempts of the three young women could be connected with the Britt Lapthorne case and want to send out an image of Dubrovnik of a safe city without crime.
