PU Istria with the cooperation of police in various countries arrested euro counterfeiters.
The Istria police department in cooperation with other police departments in Croatia and police in various countries carried out an operation that lasted several months. As a result, counterfeiting euro currencies were discovered. A 35-year old and a 18-year old man from Djakovo put in circulation EUR19,450 in denominations of 50 and 200 euros in Pula and Zagreb in the period from August 18 till January 20 this year. After the criminal investigation, they were brought to the Criminal investigation Centre at the County Court in Pula for counterfeiting of currencies.
