Angel Of Death With Bandic

John Blehm, who is staying in Zagreb for the promotion of the disturbing war veteran`s autobiography, visited Mayor Milan Bandic.

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic welcomed Vietnam veteran John Blehm at the city government facilities. Blehm is staying in Zagreb for the promotion of his autobiographical book Angel of Death. Head of the City Department for education, culture and sports Pavle Kalinic attended the reception, as well as City Department for health, labour and social services and defenders head assistant Mirloslav Laco and head of the Defenders` Department Miodrag Demo.

-I was truly angry with Hollywood upon writing this book in 1997 because films show war as something amusing- said John Blehm, adding that this book`s advantage is that it speaks of PTSP and exactly because of this it can contribute to Croatian population diseased with this illness.

Croatian soldiers had similar experiences

Apart from agreeing with him, Bandic pointed out that Croatian soldiers had similar experiences and thanked Blehm for visiting Croatia and Zagreb.

Foreword went to Jadranka Kosor

Angel of Death is a disturbing autobiography of a war veteran diseased with PTSP, which speaks of his problems he came across upon returning to civilian society after the war. Foreword for the Croatian edition was written by Jadranka Kosor, Minister of Family, Defenders and Inter-generation Solidarity and the promotion will be held on April 2, at the Dubrovnik hotel at 12 hours.
