Antunovic: We Will Win Even Without Racan!

Zeljka Antunovic tells political opponents SDP in not weakened and they are ready for the power takeover even without Racan.

-Ivica Racan is temporarily absent, but the Social-Democratic Party (SDP) is great, strong and organised so it can function regardless of who is missing- disclosed at today`s press conference Zeljka Antunovic who took over the leadership over SDP.

Constant contact with Racan

She points out all party bodies are in constant contact with Racan and how his absence will not affect further development of the campaign.

-To all of those who claim our party is in a state of emergency, I say you are right, but we are in such a state because we are preparing to take over the authorities- said SDP member, also thanking the present journalists for their correctness in reporting “because this is still a private matter of an individual”.

Plan B

To the journalistic enquiry if SDP has a plan B, i.e. in the case Racan does not return to active politics before the elections, Antunovic answered that they will know more in a month after the surgery and recovery.

-SDP is recognisable for its strong team and we have people who are capable to do their jobs- she said, stressing there were no new information of the atypical tumor of the party head, and that the public would be notified in due time of each change.

She looked back on yesterday`s report on the position of pensioners in which it is stated pensions are the lowest since the foundation of Croatia and pointed out SDP insists on an open discussion as fast as possible in order to change this.

-SDP offered a solution to this problem which is simple, clear and performable, but clearly, the will of the authorities is missing to carry it out- said Antunovic.
