Arena Zagreb of Special Interest to Croatia

The cabinet brought decisions on renewable sources of energy, and an agency for oil products.

At the closed part of today’s meeting, the Croatian cabinet brought multiple decisions, amongst which are changes to the regulations on subsidies for stimulating the production of electric energy from renewable sources of energy and cogeneration, it was reported from the Cabinet’s office for public relations.

A regulation was brought about the period that permits are given for carrying out the energy trade, and a decision about the amount to be paid for those services, and their regulation.

The cabinet brought a decision today on the budget for financing the work of the Croatian agency for compulsory oil stockpiles for 2009. They also made a decision on authorizing the exploitation of the field of hydrocarbons “PSP Okoli”.

-.--.-The cabinet brought a decision according to which the construction of the sports/multipurpose arena with accompanying content “Arena Zagreb” in Zagreb, is of special interest for Croatia.

Permission for Snow Queen

The cabinet gave permission to the Croatian Skiing Federation for holding an alpine ski race for women and men - Audi FIS World Cup “Vip Snow Queen Trophy”, which will take place in Zagreb, on Medvednica Mountain, on January 4 and 6, 2009.

Because his mandate ended, the director of the management committee of the Environmental Protection and Energetic Efficiency Fund, Vinko Mladineo, was dissolved of his duties. However today, after the competition was carried out, he was renamed for that duty.

At the proposal of the healthcare and welfare minister, the committee for genetically modified organisms was founded. The following people were named to be its members, who are representatives from the responsible ministries and institutions: Solveg Kovac, Anita Gulam, Krunoslav Capak, Marijan Katalenic, Tibor Litvay, Snjezana Keresa, Svjetlana Terzic, Ruza Meker, Ivan Pejic, Tatjana Bakran Petricioli, Hrvoje Fulgosi, Zoran Zgaga, Jagoda Munic, Sanja Milos, Ante Cović, Jelena Zafran Novak and Nevenka Gasparac.
