Armed men stole pizzas from the pizza delivery

Two young men got into habit of ordering pizzas, and then stealing them from the delivery drivers.

Pizza deliverer from Strahoninac was attacked on Monday at 11 pm when an unknown perpetrator assaulted him during the pizza delivery.

Unknown perpetrator stole a 116 kunas worth of pizza and fled. 18-year old delivery man ran after him, caught him and knocked him to the ground.

Masked man tried to hit the delivery man with unknown object

At this point, masked person who was hiding swung an unknown object towards the pizza man who managed to avoid it. Both attackers used the pizza man's confusion and ran away with food.

After this, the police examined the area and used official dogs in attempt to recover stolen pizzas.  They also managed to identify a young man who called the ‘Proventus’ pizza place and ordered the controversial Italian dish.

They left the evidence - cardboard boxes with the remains of pizza

In the courtyard of the Strahoninec elementary school, the police officers discovered a black hat, a rod, and the pizza boxes with the remains of the disputed pizza, police said.

The police examined suspects’ apartments and discovered caps and gloves that were used during the execution of a criminal offense. Delivery man also identified his attackers and the Municipal State Attorney in Cakovec is currently raising criminal charges against them.

Young men attacked other pizza places

Police investigations revealed that young attackers called pizzeria ‘Uno’ in October, and requested delivery of two pizzas. When the pizza delivery arrived, young attackers snatched the food from the hands of a delivery woman and escaped.

Delivery identified her attackers and is expected to raise charges against them.
