The so called “artillery diaries” from the police and military liberation Operation “Storm”, which are a condition for the continuation of the negotiations with the European Union, have been handed over and presented to the Hague.

The Croatian Minister of Justice, Ivan Simonovic confirmed to the newspaper Vecernji List that Croatia handed over 33 files that were requested by the Hague prosecution for the purpose of the trial against the Croatian generals, and today they should agree if the stances of both sides are close.

The cooperation between The Hague and Croatia concerning the “artillery diaries”, for which the Cabinet claimed do not exist, will be evaluated by the chief Hague prosecutor Brammertz, who will on Wednesday February 18, address the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Council, at which they will discuss the opening of the negotiations chapter “justice and basic rights”. Expansion commissioner Olli Rehn will also be present at the meeting.

If Brammertz evaluates that the cooperation was bad, the negotiations will stop regardless of the Slovenian blockade, which could be insisted on by the Netherlands, Great Britain and Belgium.
