One of the issues of the meeting of the Greek president and his colleague Heinz Fischer and Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer was the stability of the western Balkan. Papoulias is in favour of strengthening Serbia’s European perspectives, as for Macedonia, Greece will set certain conditions, Austrian APA reports.
The main reason for this opposition to Macedonia’s progress in the European Integration process, the Greek president mentioned the almost hostile conduct of Macedonia in the conflict over the official name of the latter.
