Britt’s father congratulated Croatian authorities for dismissals in police, but said the probe into his daughter’s death is unsuccessful.
DUBROVNIK, CROATIA – The parents of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, who was found dead in Dubrovnik last summer, arrived in Croatia a few days ago and they were assured by police of their continued investigation into their daughter’s death.
Australian media reported that the autopsy report on Britt issued by Victoria State Coroner Judge Jennifer Coate, indicates that the injuries found on Britt’s body were inconsistent with a fall from a cliff. The judge also completely ruled out the possibility of the girl having committed suicide.
Father Dale Lapthorne said earlier that the report was done in great detail and indicated new leads in the case. Coate explained that the autopsy report had been handed over to Croatian authorities to be used for further investigation.
Dale Lapthorne met the Croatian police twice and announced the police could soon find out exactly what happened to his daughter.
He congratulated Croatian authorities for dismissals in police, but said the probe into his daughter’s death is unsuccessful.
I commend them on the replacements, but there is minimum progress, Dale told The Age.
