Antonija Drinovac gave birth to a baby boy in a car, on the way to the hospital.
VINKOVCI, CROATIA – Antonija Drinovac (21) of Ivankovo near Vinkovci, gave birth on Monday morning in the back seat of a car on her way to the hospital, Vinkovci general hospital confirmed.
Antonija was delivered by her 32-year-old husband Drago in their neighbour`s Fiat Punto. The neighbour was taking them to the delivery room as Antonija suddenly, two weeks before she was due, felt contractions.
- It all happened in less than a minute. I took some PJs from my wife`s bag and wrapped up the baby. I was horribly scared because the baby didn`t make a sound at first. When our son cried, I started crying as well – Drago Drinovac told reporters.
According to him, the Ambulance arrived soon and the doctors took care of Antonija and the baby, whose name will be Kristijan Ilija.
Antonija and Drago are also the parents of a girl called Stela.
