Ban Ki-Moon: You became the country that provides help

In the past 20 years Croatia came across a successful path of becoming a country that provides help unlike this country was accepting help back in the past. It is an amazing achievement, and the active contribution to the UN over exeeded its greatness - these were the words of praise that came from the main UN secretary Ban Ki-Moon for the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Croatian membership in this world organization. The words were passed over by the UN representative Louisa Vinton.

She reminded that conflicts in 90ties gave chance to Croatia to perceive the power of UN, but also to experience its weaknesses.

- UN hasn't always been successful in accomplishing its goals, in establishing peace or fighting against hunger and poverty… But Croatia has been devoted to ideals represented by the organization - added the president Ivo Josipovic.
