Bandic Becomes The Dragon Of The Stone Gate

Apart from the mayor, bishop Mile Bogovic and the president of NK Dinamo, Mirko Barisic have been accepted into the order.

The mayor passed all tests of the order of the brotherhood of the Croatian dragon, and has become the dragon of the Stone Gate IV. During the ceremony in the dragon’s tower above the Stone Gate on Saturday the honorable assembly accepted seven new members, reported RTL.

Not one black ball

At the ceremony the members voted by putting white or black balls in a bowl, and concluded that the mayor fulfills all the criteria to become a member. If there was a single black ball in the bowl, Bandic would not have become a member.

The following were also accepted: doctor Tonci Viskovic, scientist Ivan Hvojic, Gospic-Sinj bishop Mile Bogovic, businessman and president of NK Dinamo Mirko Barisic, high school teacher Kristijan Skocibusic and Bruno Kendjel, businessman.

The order renewed in 1990

The order of the brotherhood of the Croatian dragon, who’s slogan is “In work for God and Croatia”, has around 250 members today. The order was founded in 1905, banned and dissolved in 1946, and renewed in 1990.

The great expert of the order is retired university professor Dragutin Feletar.
