The Ministry of Environmental protection gave the negative reply to the citizens of Jakusevac. They had asked for a larger compensation for living close to the garbage dump, as Davor Bernardic, the president of the City Assembly, reported last week. The Mayor of Zagreb asked the Assembly to keep paying the owners of land close to the garbage dump and to increase the payment by 50 percent.
- The Ministry said that the fee couldn’t be changed if it had been determined. I send an appeal to the Mayor to find the solution for the citizens of Jakusevac - DavorBernardic said.
He was also talking about Bandic’s plans to reconstruct Cvjetni Square and build the fountains near the National and University Library.
- All the representatives of all the parties in the City Assembly were against these two plans. They suggested skipping the plans out of the program of infrastructure building - Bernardic said
