- The assistant of the Minister of Justice of BiH who is in charge of international cooperation Nikola Sladoje stated on Thursday that Dragan Paravinja would be extradited as soon as Croatian authorities ask for it - Dnevni avaz newspaper says.
- The decision was made when Paravinja was sent back from Croatia into BiH because of the hearing at the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo – Sladoje pointed out and added that it was not about any decisions. They only wait for the demand for extradition.
- Let’s remind, the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo approved the first degree sentence of two years and ten months of prison. The sentence was determined by the court in Sokolac when they found him guilty of the crime of rape which was committed in 2002.
The accused for the severe crime of murder and rape of Antonia Bilic and for the attempted rape of a 25-year-old girl from Omis will be able to serve his sentence in Croatia if two states agree so. Paravinja is now in the Kula prison in Eastern Sarajevo where he was sent to on the 21st of December, 2011 and will stay there till further notice.
