Text
Ivica Racan was one of the most influential politicians in Croatia. His biography counts 33 years of active participation in politics.
The former Croatian prime minister and president of the Central Committee of the Croatian Communists Alliance entered politics in 1972 and was at its top since. During his 33 years of political life Ivica Racan was active in several regimes.
Many liked him for his liberal stands, while some criticised him for them. Still, the fact is that Croatia has lost a man who marked the pages in the newer Croatian history with his charisma and work.
