Branko Jordanic and Tangerines

Text

Former State Chief Inspector likes to talk about fruit, while the Zalepugins have coffee separately, and then they go home together.

Zagreb Saturday promenade passed away in hurried tones and sudden changes of weather influenced moods of some of our well-known citizens. Many were not in the mood for talking, and some were bothered by worries darker that the sullen day.

If only the tangerines would bear fruit

Former Chief State Inspector Branko Jordanic in company of his good friend had a quick coffee, and his collocutor, an owner of tangerine orchard, was talking about his business. Jordanic was in good mood during the discussion on this Mediterranean fruit, so we suppose we need not worry over shortage or raising of prices.

If only tangerines would bear fruit well...

The Zalepugins, always well disposed, revealed their secret to us, that they have their Saturday coffee separately, each with their own company, so Sasa Zalepugin almost always have coffee in Charlie, while Tihana Harapin-Zalepugin prefers Flores. They go home together though.

We found Antonia Blace, the TV hostess who died her hair brown recently – she decided to spend the day in the pleasant company of her boyfriend and friends.

Artists suffer from meteropathy

Rujana Jeger, author of the book 'Dark Room' did not share the Zalepugins' good mood. Sulky as always, she thundered through Cvjetni Square, And at  the same rushed pace the legend of Croatian theatre, Spiro Guberina passed us by.

Ursa Raukar, also an actress, shared their mood. She explained to us that she did not sleep whole night, but she would not reveal to us what had kept her awake.

Judging by the dark faces of our respected artists, it seems to us that they are most inclined to have weather related problems.

However, the duo from the US ban The Long Winters shook the validity of this thesis. The day before they had a concert in SKUC, and have spent the day seeing the sights and they could not stop smiling.

Perhaps they did not have time to adapt to our climatic conditions, so they do not notice these changes.

That's Americans for you...

Not everything is dark

Free making up at the promenade introduced some joy. It was organised by DM (shop chain) in a co-operation with the make up artist Tomo Vrban, so many girls and women used this opportunity to have a go at new trends. The drive was promoted by actresses from the soap opera 'Ordinary People' Vanessa Radman, Ana Majhenic and Helena Minic, who on this opportunity gave a number of autographs to their loyal fans.

On Cvjetni Sqare the standard promotion of Fanta soft drink was staged, and this time followers of Hare Krishna joined them, and there was dancing to transcendental rhythms. A couple of old age pensioners joined them, who showed to the gathered multitude how they used to dance...

And while the elderly danced, a young man got tired by all these things on the promenade, so he decided to lie down a little...
