Breaking Into The Eastern Orthodox Church

The burglars damaged the altar and several sacred objects. One of the perpetrators was caught.

An unidentified burglar or several of them broke into the Eastern Orthodox Church and damaged the altar and several sacred objects in Slatinski Drenovec, Cacinci municipality, in the period between February 3 and March 4, reports the police department of the County of Virovitica-Podravina.

Material damage is estimated at around 2,000 kunas.

The criminal investigation and search for the unidentified perpetrators continues.

Charges were filed against one of the burglars for the criminal act of destroying and damaging the property of another.
