At the kiosks of Tisak in Velika Gorica, in Savska street, in Vukovarska street and many other places in Zagreb citizens haven’t been able to buy individual tickets for public transport for days. The employees repeat the same sentence all the time – there are no tickets, the new delivery hasn’t arrived. The only solution for the citizens is to go without a ticket or to buy it in a bus or a tram, which is not possible in all the vehicles.
They haven’t collected the tickets
But such a ticket is more expensive and it costs 10 kn, while it is 8 kn at the kiosk. Although there were rumors that ZET prevented the delivery of tickets to newsagents’ because they couldn’t agree about the price, we found out off the record that it is only due to the alleged “laziness” of Tisak.
The firm Tisak is the concessionaire of distribution and production of individual tickets for trams and buses, so they are obliged to provide the distribution of tickets.
Ljuba Zgela from ZET also confirmed that it was impossible to buy tickets at the kiosks but she claimed that it had nothing to do with a price rise.
- They simply didn’t collect the tickets – she explained. She says it is not a problem because citizens can buy electronic tickets instead at the kiosks of Tisak.
Too many problems
Just to remind, ZET decided to stop the SMS payment in trams and buses from the end of the last year on. They explain that it is because people send SMS only when they see the control officers. And the manager of ZET Dubravko Baričević said for Vecernji list that their plan was to increase the profit of ZET in the area of public transport from 300 mil kn to 500 mil kn in 2012. They plan to do it by increasing the ticket price.
