After Zagreb Mayor Bandic refused to run for SDP president, this function went to Zoran Milanovic.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic refused to run for the president of the Socialist Democratic Party (SDP), although even 14 local organisations selected him for this highest party function. He explained his decision with great obligations towards the City of Zagreb and running for mayor for the next mandate. Thus, the first seat belongs to Zoran Milanovic again, who was the second candidate for the function, it was decided in Zagreb SDP branch.
Milan Bandic did not wish to comment this decision, forwarding us to Ivo Jelusic, who said all City organisation decisions at the Executive Board were reached unanimously.
- Vice presidents are: Mato Arlovic, Neven Mimica and Milanka Opacic, while Presidency members are: Milan Bandic, Ivo Jelusic, Zeljka Antunovic and Boris Sprem. The following withdrew their candidacies for the vice president post: Slavko Kojic, Dusko Ljustina, Zoran Milanovic, Milan Bandic and Ivo Jelusic – Jelusic counted.
