Those parties agreed that IDSF will determine a candidate for mayor, and the others will have one candidate each for vice-mayor.
PULA, CROATIA – The leaders of the Pula branches of the HNS (Croatian People’s Party), the ISDF (Istrian Social-Democratic Forum) and the “Green Party – Green Alternative” party, signed a declaration today in Pula about entering the elections for the city government, mayor and vice-mayors of Pula together.
As the declaration states, the Pula branches of those parties agreed that the ISDF will determine a candidate for mayor and the carrier of the joint list, and HND and the greens will get one candidate each for vice-mayor.
According to the president of the ISDF Livio Bolkovic, the names of the candidates for the city leaders and the order of the list for city government will be determined by a special agreement that, as Bolkovic announced, will be signed next week.
Party headquarters to decide on agreements at county level
“I am happy with the realisation of this coalition, and I thank the representatives of those three parties that were persistent for it, regardless of the great pressure that this coalition does not occur” said Bolkovic. However, he did not want to mentioned what sort of pressure was in question. The president of the Pula HNS, Luka Stancic said, talking about the reasons for making the coalition, that HNS has always advocated an “efficient and transparent administration” in which he easily found himself with those partners. He added that the party headquarters will decide about possible agreements at county level.
The president of the ISDF, Livio Bolkovic, stressed that this coalition, which today, as he said “operates as one body”, is open for cooperation.
