ZAGREB, CROATIA - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic welcomed on Tuesday Ambassador of India in Croatia Rajiv Misra, the president`s office announced.
During the meeting, President Mesic pointed out the need to intensify co-operation between traditionally friendly and close countries, especially in the area of economy.
Although trade has been on the rise over the past few years, collaboration in investment and technology transfer is not satisfying, Mesic assessed.
Ambassador Misra especially thanked Mesic for his contribution in Security Council Presidency when it comes to the fight against terrorism.
Significant amount of attention was paid to the consequences of the Mumbai bomb attacks and the situation in South Asia, the announcement reads.
