Croatia will not be the same after me

Presidential candidate says that his rivals would have no presidential campaign platform if it wasn't for him.

- I do not want to be a silent observer. I do not need more capital or reputation in our society, I need to realize what I feel I owe to my country to the extent I know I can accomplish – this is perhaps the most important message that the presidential candidate Nadan Vidosevic gave during a press conference at his Ravna Gora estate.

Love of the region and his farm, the presidential candidate clearly demonstrated by showing the estate, and noting that he hopes that media writing will promote the area he loves.

Nadan Vidosevic said that the president is the most important figure in the country and that his desires are always carried out. Without challenging the quality of the current president and his moves, he referred to the issues that he planned to solve during his presidency. Some of those problems included Croatian debts, regulatory market, the quality of the intelligence organizations and the organization of military forces.

- The Croatian debt will amount to 4 billion Euros in the next year. This means that we will not be able to pay our police forces the amount they deserve, and inherently, we will not be able to deal with the crime as good as we should - said Nadan Vidosevic and continued talking about Croatia’s foreign policy.

Military aircraft was bought on Croatia Airlines credit

Vidosevic notes that economic relations are the foundation of foreign policy for all of the powers of the world. He stresses the need to facilitate the marketing of products and solve the problem of our intelligence systems.

- It is obvious that the Croatian public needs the information and that this need if not fully satisfied. Vidosevic jokingly added that there was a time when “everyone knew the brand of toothpaste son of Slobodan Milosevic used.”

Regarding the organization of military forces, Vidosevic believes that science and institutes, such as the Rudjer Ship Institute, are important elements for our armed forces.

- We should be ashamed, we bought military aircrafts on a loan from Croatia Airlines - Vidosevic said.

He seems to hold a firm stand on the political scandals as well.

- I never earned a cent in the privatization process or doing any state business. In addition to properties in Kupres, which you all know about, I earned all of my money in this country and I’ve paid taxes for all of it – Vidosevic confimrs.

In addition, he noted that he honestly reported all of his property, including some that belonged to his extended family.

'Those that sell other people’s property, are considered heroes in this country’

Vidošević said that he is not against the criminal prosecution of every individual who gained wealth while others were bled for this country. He also stressed that such a system would not get a hold of those who are responsible for 50 billion spending, meant for restructuring of Croatian banks, and for 7 billion sales of those same banks.

- This prosecution system will not include pension funds from the 90’s, as well as Glumina bank, which was deliberately liquidated with intention of causing banking crisis and formation of a bank sales - said Vidosevic and also commented on the problem of shipbuilding. He said that Croatian shipyards are the best example of evil that has been going on for the past 15 years and adds that this is the only Croatian global product. Among other things, the presidential candidate also asserts that Croatia would not be the same after his words.  

He also commented on the problem of the Zagreb Spaladium Arena saying that it would take 150 payments and that Croatian citizens owed money from the very beginning of the project. He also stressed that those who sell other people’s property are considered heroes in this country.

Nadan Vidosevic hid nothing from the journalists and took them on a tour of his property. He proudly showed them his tennis courts, football field, numerous fruit trees, his two favorite dog guardians, Fedor and Todor and his three ponies Galu, Dali and Frida.

Given that the current president is also known for his love of animals, Vidosevic noted that in case of his victory, presidential residence would become a “little zoo”.
