The Italian Dentists’ Society head, Luca Del Carlo, urged his citizens not to go to Croatia for dentistry work at three times lower prices.
-- Do not go to Croatian dentists, you will pay less, but you are risking to become infected with AIDS and hepatitis – Del Carlo advised.
Istria and the Kvarner region of Croatia have been overflowing with Italian patients and recently, the Union of Italian Retirees signed a contract with Rijeka’s dentists.
-- Patients had much bad experience and in Italy prices are higher because a lot is invested into the protection of the patient and disease prevention – Del Carlo persists.
However, the Italian Retirees’ Union claims that they only had one case of dissatisfaction and the quality of Croatian dentists is confirmed by the increasing number of Italian patients in Croatian dentist offices, Vecernji list reports.
-- Italians are afraid of losing work and accusations of low quality service do not hold water – said a dentist from Rijeka, Dijana Jasparica-Mavrinac.
