Croatian Deputy PM: Now We Want Mladic and Hadzic

The Croatian cabinet supports The Hague Tribunal’s strategy and will insist on all the trials being carried out, said Kosor.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Croatian deputy PM, Jadranka Kosor, held a press conference on occasion of the arrest of Radovan Karadzic.

- We are pleased that things are moving in the right way, but we are still waiting for the arrest of Mladic and Hadzic, as nothing encourages a crime more than when it remains unpunished – said Kosor.

- The Croatian cabinet supports The Hague Tribunal’s strategy and will insist on all the trials being carried out. In this purpose, it will make use of the Security Council membership – she added.

When asked whether Serbia will now enter the EU sooner due to the arrest of the most wanted war criminal, Kosor answered that Serbia has a lot of work to do and that the arrest helped the maintenance of peace, stability, good relations and reconciliation.
