Milanovic’s secretary received a call from someone who addressed death threats to SDP president, Milanovic. The police is investigating.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Yesterday around 03:00 pm, the camp Social Democratic Party (SDP) received an anonymous call.
An unknown person called the secretary of the party president, Zoran Milanovic, and addressed death threats to the leader of the SDP.
“Darkness will swallow him” and “he will be gone”, are some of the words which perturbed Milanovic’s secretary, who immediately informed the police.
Although some tabloids related the threats with the arrest of the assaulters of reporter Igor Radjenovic, the SDP spokeswoman, Gordana Grbic, rejected speculations, considering them ungrounded.
- It is nothing serious. Believe me, if they were serious threats we would have already informed the public. We receive similar calls once in a couple of days, and probably they come from dissatisfied citizens – said Grbic, adding that Milanovic is not even in Zagreb.
The threats addressed to Milanovic did not really shake the SDP members, and the police will find out whether they were actually serious or not.
