Croatia’s foreign ministry state secretary and Serbia’s vice-president voiced satisfaction with relations between Croatia and Serbia.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian state secretary for political issues at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations, Bianca Matkovic, held talks on Monday, on the margins of the ministerial summit of the Confederation of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) in Istanbul, with Serbia’s Vice-Premier and Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Mladjan Dinkic, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The meeting focused on economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as Dinkic’s and a group of Serbian businessmen’s upcoming visit to Zagreb. Regarding economic cooperation so far, the two voiced satisfaction, but also stressed that there is room for the realisation of a number of projects and investments in both countries.
The two also expressed satisfaction with the intensifying relations between Croatia and Serbia and more frequent bilateral meetings at high levels.
Matkovic and Dinkic also spoke about the measures the two countries’ governments are undertaking to combat the influence of the global economic crisis.
They also spoke about certain open issues between the two countries and models of their resolution, the ministry’s statement said.
