Croatian Soldiers Leave for Afghanistan

From the Zagreb airport Pleso, as a part of the ISAF peace mission, 69 Croatian soldiers left their homeland.

27 OMLT members will spend six long months in Afghanistan as well as 42 infantry members, mostly of the 2^nd guard brigade, Croatian Ministry of Defence reports.

The goal of the ISAF mission which is under the United Nations mandate is to help the Afghanistan government with creating security in the country and enable the spreading of central authorities over the entire country.
