Some 100 reporters from Croatia's national television on Friday briefly taped their mouths closed to protest alleged censorship, the HINA news agency reported.
The journalists gathered in the television's headquarters lobby, covering their mouths and camera lenses with tape and holding blank papers in their hands, the state-run agency said.
Their representative Nikola Kristic said the protest was aimed at showing the journalists' dismay with the situation in their media.
The move was sparked notably after a journalist was suspended earlier this month over a show in which her guest talked about corrupt officials.
The news programme editor-in-chief Hloverka Novak-Srzic claimed the journalist acted unprofessionally.
The Croatian Journalists' Association has demanded that the suspended journalist be reinstated.
