It was obvious that the disappointment among the members of HSS had been growing for some time and that the bad results at the elections made the situation even worse. The proof was given by the head of Zagreb branch Darko Vuletic who resigned his position the day before yesterday.
- Zagreb branch has 5 thousand members and we had always worked well until Darko Vuletic became the head of our organization. We asked for his resignation when there were rumors about his election cooperation with Milan Bandic. That’s why it’s normal that he resigned – Tomislav Viduka, the president of HSS Podsljeme area, said.
We couldn’t reach Darko Vuletic to hear his side of a story, but it is obvious that there are problems in the party that was once very solid in Croatian political life. The turmoil started in Zagreb.
The most ambitious person to become the leader of Zagreb branch of HSS is Tomislav Viduka himself. He was the strongest opponent of Darko Vuletic and of all HSS leadership as well.
