Days of Cuba Start in Zagreb

Cuban film, music and dance programmes will take place in Zagreb until September 18. The Days of Cuba began with the screening of Benny.

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Days of Cuba in Zagreb was officially opened by Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic by receiving participants and organisers of the event, accompanied by Cuban Ambassador Migueline Goiochee Estenoz and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Zagreb.

Until September 18, Cuban film, music and dance programmes will be held in Zagreb, Cuban films will be shown at the Tuskanac Cinema. The premiere began with the film Benny. On Friday the film Strawberries and Chocolate, nominated for Oscar, will be shown. An exhibition of Cuban articts can be seen at the Museum for Art and Crafts. Considering the increased interest of Croatian tourists in Cuba, the Cuban tourist offer will also be presented.

The Zagreb Youth Theatre will host concerts by Cuban bands, from jazz bands to traditional music, as well as dance workshops.
