DC: Alleged Swine Plague is HDZ Set Up

Vladimir Novotny and Mato Mlinaric from DC said we will not enter the EU until we get rid of HDZ and swine plague

DC MPs reacted to Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry order which bans pig and pork traffic in the state for the purpose of curbing spreading of swine plague.

- Swine plague in Croatia is a set up, and behind is HDZ which runs a well-conceived politics which is destroying peasants – DC chief secretary and official of the Independent Farmers' Association, Vladimir Novotny said.

He added that his party opposes introduction of vaccination against swine plague, because 30 to 40 million kuna, which is the amount of money earmarked for this purpose from the budget, would be a waste.

- The plague appears regardless of vaccination, and after vaccination, it is not possible to export such meat – Novotny said.

'Fiolic's farm is untouchable just because he is HDZ partisan'

He added that 'nasty diseases appear here because of meat smuggling by the smuggling lobby’.
- The ban on traffic holds only for small peasants, while it is not the case with others – Mato Mlinaric said and explained that the danger from spreading of swine plague 'does not hold only for Stjepan Fiolic's farm'.

He continued that the measures for preventing of spreading of swine plague do not hold for Fiolic's farm, just because he is HDZ MP.

'We are the only country that subsidises the import'

- In Croatia someone seeks scandals over domestic products in order to prevent their export, while the state subsidises the import – DC Chief Secretary concluded and added that it is wrong to think that 'what comes from abroad is of good quality'.

Two MPs jointly denounced Mate Brstilo from Ministry of Agriculture, accusing him of  'burying his head in the sand' and that he has done nothing in educating the peasant in terms of preventing the spread of swine plague.

However in the Ministry of Agriculture they do not agree with accusations by DC and Novotny.

- A failed student of journalism and self-proclaimed poet and writer lectures me on swine plague. The responsibility for publicly spoken word has reached the rock bottom – Mladen Pavic, Ministry's spokesman said.

He concluded that it all in the end speaks of DC.
