The photo fits are that of Ivan Elez and Sladjan Dodik, also with the Narcotics Department.
DUBROVNIK, CROATIA – Dragan Palameta and Ivica Rudinovic are two police officers identified as the killers of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, however, the faces are those of Ivan Elez and Sladjan Dodik, who also work at the Dubrovnik-Neretva Narcotics Department.
Photo fits published by Australian Channel 7 network and their reporter Ross Coulthardt, were drafter according to the testimonies of three girls who had an awkward experience in Dubrovnik. Not long after, it was published that Palameta and Rudinovic were in question, while Krunoslav Borovec of the police directorate confirmed that the officers came from Dubrovnik, however, he did not state their names.
According to the Vecernji list daily, Elez and Dodik are actually in question. One of the women, supposed victim of the two police officers, known just as Jennifer, did not recognise Palameta and Rudinovic, and according to the paper`s source, if she had seen the photo of Ivan Elez, who is also a large man, she would surely have recognised him.
Elez and Dodik were supposedly transferred from Dubrovnik police headquarters to the Grude Police station in Konavle in December 2008, when the Channel 7 documentary was being made.
