Like the times when Croatian media praised Ratko Macek as the best Croatian spokesman, today those same media raise Dusan Viro, the spokesman of Zagreb Holding, to his pedestal .

The secret of Viro's popularity in media isn't his ability to provide information to news reporters faster, more accurate and more comprehensive than any other spokesman in Croatia. Viro does that in completely opposite manner.

He hesitates to answer journalists’ questions. Sometimes he doesn't give answers at all , although he violates the law on right to information access by that act. When he decides to answer those questions, his answers have intention to deceive, not to inform people.

Viro looks at his jobs the same way like Ratko Macek did in those past times. And Viro is popular among largest Croatian publishers due to his other, informal function, like Macek was. When Viro was appointed for the spokesman of Zagreb Holding, he hasn't moved to his office and yet he has instruct all branches of Zagreb Holding that media lease of advertising space will have to be supervised by himself in the future. Viro has monopolized a huge budget for media advertising that made him the most popular character in all sale departments of daily newspapers, radio stations and television.

And same as Macek, Viro remains useless for providing information. But he becomes very useful for financing.  How big the budget Viro has, no one knows except him, since he doesn't want to reveal that information. Not only he illegally hides the information from journalists, Viro didn't want to reveal that even to Davor Bernardic when Bernardic questioned him on that matter last year. Although the boss of Zagreb SDP became the president of the Zagreb Holding Assembly at that time, Viro wasn't impressed by that promotion. He even mocked him. He gave Bernardic a number that was mush less than the amount Velesajam spent during that year. And Zagreb Holding has over twenty branches.

Viro could allow himself to mock his formal boss since that was pre-election year. And the Holding spokesman has been involved in politics for a long time so he knows that money is more important to political parties than people in the pre-election year. No matter what the party bosses publicly claim. And then, in September, this office received the information that Holding spent more money on advertising apartments’ sale in Sopnica Jelkovec last summer than they earned for selling them. Then we addressed a question to Holding but we still didn't get the answer although they cynically promised that we will get the answer ''for a week at the latest''. We tried to find out how much Viro has spent for advertising activity during the last year, but we still didn't get the answer. We didn't get the answer on how much Holding has spent for PR services during the last year and did they cooperated ''by chance'' with the same agencies that were running parliamentary campaign for SDP.

When we tried to hurry those answers over SDP, Zoran Milanovic stated (over spokeswoman) that he doesn't deal with ''Zagreb issues''. Disregard the fact he was the list carrier for Zagreb SDP at the last election, but Milanovic didn't want to answer typical ''question of Zagreb'' if he considered it was all right that spokesmen of state and city firms were appointed for bosses on advertising within those same firms. Zoran Milanovic also didn't want to answer a question if the advertising model Holding organized would have to be the model that all state firms would have to adopt if SPD wins over the election.

Unlike journalists of this web news page, Zoran Milanovic isn't interested in answering the question of how many  SDP members has official credit cards from Holding and how much did they spend over those credit cards (especially during the campaign). He doesn't care if the city rumors about numerous SDP members and their wives being hired in Holding during the last years are true as well as the rumors that they didn't appear at their workplace. Reports of such ''employees'' were addressed from Holding to news redaction and to Mladen Bajic as well. But the main state attorney is obviously more preoccupied with money that has been already stolen, than the money that will be stolen yet. He investigated only a fictive working positions not the current ones.

There is a lot of speculation that in last two years Zagreb Holding  has become  as important to SDP as Fimi media was to HDZ. Zoran Milanovic doesn't ask how the SPD's parliamentary campaign was financed like Jadranka Kosor didn't ask about finances of her presidential campaign. Mladen Bajic doesn't ask either. And Dusan Viro doesn't answer journalists' questions. Although he should, according to the law.

And today, the law in Croatia is only being applied on Ratko Macek. And Rade Buljubasic.
