40 firefighters and six vehicles have arrived on the site and two planes have been sent to help them.
A fire near the residential area Sitno Donje in Rastovaca forest near Perkovic was reported at 10:40 h this morning, says the fire department in Divulje.
The forest and tall bushes are burning. About 40 firefighters and six vehicles have arrived on the site and two planes have been sent to assist them.
The Divulje fire department also reports that, in the morning, a new fire broke out on the part of the site near the residential district Vrana, Ceranje near the Vrana Lake, which is still mined.
The fire, which was reported yesterday morning, was contained at 22.20 h last night, but broke out again on a part of the site this morning. Subsequently, an air tractor and a plane were sent to the site this morning, and two more planes were sent later on.
Fire units from Zadar, Biograd and Benkovac and volunteers from Polaca and Stankovci, with a total of 40 firefighters, 10 vehicles and a plane, were involved in putting the fire out yesterday. Estimates show that about 50 hectares of dry grass and dense evergreen shrubs burned down.
