ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - The Deputy Director of the Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK), Vanja Marusic, on Thursday reported that a Zagreb County Court judge had set detention for five people suspected of selling exams at the Zagreb medical school.
According to an unofficial source, the five have been placed in custody for one month.
USKOK has launched an investigation of 12 people in all. The five have been placed in custody to prevent them from influencing possible witnesses. The remaining suspects were set free.
Defence attorneys said that they would lodge appeals against the detention ruling.
