Luka Hodak was escorted by the police to the psychiatric ward, with the three already hospitalized men.
Four participants of the New Year’s Eve ritual in Saborsko, at which one person died, are recovering well, according to the hospital in Ogulin.
The fourth participant was taken to hospital escorted by the police, and joined the three already hospitalised participants.
The hospital confirmed that L.H. from Saborsko was admitted.
Land owned by Luka Hodak
When the police was asked if the mayor of Saborsko Luka Hodak was in question, the police only confirmed that the land on which the event occurred was owned by him. Hodak claims for himself that he is an Indian Shaman and healer. Those informed of unconventional medical methods assume that the gathered men wanted to enter the New Year “cleansed” via the séance.
The operation-communication centre of the Karlovac police department say that they are still working on identifying the body.
The deputy head of the Ogulin hospital, Krunoslav Cindric, said that four patients consumed intoxicating substances and that their state “could not be characterised as poisoning”.
Yesterday the police stated that five men awaited the new year in a wooden building in Funtani, near Saborsko, and were participating in some sort of ritual in a sauna, during which they took extracts from a poisonous “bunika” plan, and that three of them ended up in hospital because of problems with that, and one was found dead. However, today we find out that a fourth man was submitted to the psychiatric ward. The investigation is under way.
