According to official figures of the Zagreb Tourist Board, 7 percent more foreign tourists visited Zagreb in relation to last year.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – In the first eight months of 2008, Zagreb was visited by 7 percent more foreign tourists, realising 7 percent more overnight stays compared to last year, Zagreb Tourist Board announces.
In August alone, 65,873 tourists walked in the streets of the city, while 100,759 of them spent the night. Out of the total number of tourists, 58,089 were foreigners, most of them from Spain, France, Japan, Italy and Germany.
According to official figures of the Zagreb Tourist Board, the figures are impressive because there has been an increase of guests in the first eight months, compared to the same period last year. This year 421,696 arrivals and 750,724 overnight stays were realised, while 393,388 tourists visited Zagreb last year, realising 713,668 overnight stays.
