Text
The Austrian State Court decided today that retired Croatian General Vladimir Zagorec is to be extradited to Croatia.
Investigative judge Christina Forstner made the decision at today’s court hearing, the Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) reported.
A clip of a DVD containing footage of a meeting between General Zagorec and Croatian president’s advisor, Sasa Perkovic, which Zagorec handed over to the Austrian court, was shown during the hearing. The contents of the meeting were not divulged to the public, however.
Zagorec’s attorney Zvonimir Hodak motioned new witnesses, including Markica Rebic. The court dismissed the motion, as well as the one that last week’s Croatian Television’s show “Fokus” with an interview with Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, be introduced as new evidence.
Milan Bandic congratulated Perkovic and Spanja for their achievements
