German Surgeon Operates on Racan

SDP leader does not want to go to a serious operation to Germany; he asks the German surgeon to come to Zagreb and operates on him.

The reason is he does not want to do ‘the mistake’ as Andrija Hebrang HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) did when the public objected to him having surgery abroad. 

A source close to the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) leadership said that Racan had a sarcoma. The doctors still do not know whether it is on the bone or on the bone and cartilage. The doctors at Rebro Hospital believe that the prospects of the surgery are very good.

The rumour in media was that the pain caused the problems to the leader of the SDP two months ago, but well-informed sources say that the pain started last summer. Racan did not pay attention to it because he thought it was the result of sports – tennis.
