DUBROVNIK, CROATIA - A young Dubrovnik woman Katarina Luzija (28) sustained burns after a beauty treatment some 15 days ago and will most probably be permanently scarred, the Dubrovacki list writes.
30 burns due to unprofessional laser handling
Like most ladies, Katarina wanted to have a beauty treatment before the summer, but unlike last year when she went to a policlinic to undergo laser hair-removal, she chose a beauty salon in Dubrovnik.
When the 800 kuna treatment (approximately 110 euros) was over, she went to the Emergency Room, where doctors confirmed she had sustained burns and had to be re-bandaged for two days. A dermatologist also confirmed that burns were in question, adding that they should not be caused by a laser if it is properly handled.
After the initial shock, a cold reaction of the salon owner and staff member followed, as they just laughed when the girl told them about her burns.
Katarina is planning to sue the salon because of bodily injuries and unprofessional staff.
