Josipovic said that the government’s actions relating to the ‘artillery logs’ harmed Croatia’s position in talks with the European Union.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Croatian member of parliament and member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ivo Josipovic, commented during an SDP news conference on occasion of Women’s Day, on the government’s debacle regarding keeping the information about the EU’s ultimatum under wraps. The EU is insisting that Croatia submit its ‘artillery logs’.
. This is another unfortunate episode of Croatia’s foreign and internal affairs. The government is once again keeping important facts from the public which should know such facts. By meddling in such a way, the government is harming Croatia’s position in its negotiations with the European Union – said Josipovic.
In the meantime, vice-premier Jadranka Kosor said the government has launched an investigation about documents in the Defence Ministry and the first results are beginning to arrive.
- We have ascertained that some documents never even existed, but that 23 documents did. I believe we have leads as to how those documents disappeared and through whose hands they passed – Kosor said.
