The prefect of Krapina Zagorje County and the future Minister of Transport Sinisa Hajdas Doncic had a meeting with Davor Bernardic, the president of the City Council of Zagreb, where they discussed about the project of integrated transport system. They want to introduce the Union of transport firms in Zagreb and Krapina Zagorje County. The declaration about integrated transport system and the Union has been approved by all three Councils – Krapina Zagorje, the city of Zagreb and Zagreb County. The value of the project is 145 mil Euros and it will compete for EU funds.

Hajdas Doncic announced that he would support such projects as the minister because such projects are implemented in many European countries. One of the best examples of such practice is the suburban transport in Munich.

-In the strategy of Croatian development the integrated transport system plays an important role. I will support all the forms of connecting and motivating for such ways of transportation. The reasons for those are ecological issues and higher prices of energy. This is the good way of saving energy and sustainable development of traffic – the future minister explained. Such project should motivate efficiency of the transport and at the same time make the travelling of all Croatian citizens easier.

- Our example can motivate other cities and bigger centers to start developing certain components so that they could apply for some of EU funds – Hajdas Doncic concluded. The president of the City Council of Zagreb congratulated Hajdas Doncic for the future position. He also pointed out that he was glad that the City of Zagreb recognized the value of this project. It will initiate the development in economic, tourist, cultural and sports areas in the wider area of Zagreb.
