HDZ Demands Reduction in Utilities Prices

Text

HDZ City Committee president Jadranka Kosor and HDZ members in Zagreb City Assembly demand a reduction in utility prices.

Members of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) in the Zagreb City Assembly criticised Mayor Bandic and his management of the city, especially accentuating the high prices of utilities.

-- We demand that the prices of utilities be reduced immediately. This does not take a miracle as Mayor Bandic claims, but is a reality – said the president of the HDZ City Committee, Jadranka Kosor.

She added that the prices of utilities should return to the previous state before their rising. There are preconditions for this because in the first two months of this year, the city incurred 60 million kuna more than last year, she said.

-- We do not want to talk about the reduction of prices in November ahead of elections, as Bandic is announcing. We are not doing this because of the electoral year but because of citizens – she said.

The HDZ announced that their action for the collection of signatures for the erection of a monument to the late Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, which theyx wish to place in front of the Mimara Museum, ended.

If they get the requested spot, the party would finance the construction of the monument in full.

Also, they refuted rumours that their city chapter was falling apart. They say thay are very well prepared for the coming elections.
