This Wednesday evening, just around 11 p.m. five employees of the Zadar branch for The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) started a search after the alert that reported three young French tourists who got lost over the location between Saint Mihovil and Lukoran at Ugljan island.
Two young fellows and one girl went for a hike over the Lukoran path during the late afternoon. They got lost in their attempt to find the right way so they got stuck in dense underbrush.
They called for help from their cell phones since they didn’t bring any liquids or lightening.
HGSS rescuers, as they reported, had to get through the impassible terrain with machete.
Eventually, around 1.30 a.m. they found the lost tourists dehydrated with cuts over their bodies. The tourists were transferred to the camp where they have been staying.
