The football players of Dinamo Luis Ibanez and Nikola Pokrivac had a “close encounter” with football fans last week after the football match against Zagreb. The result was 1:1. They were physically attacked by unknown offenders in Svetice while they were leaving the stadium in Luco’s car.
- Ibanez stopped at the traffic lights because of the red light. There were about 50 people standing at the tram station nearby. They started shouting at us and Luco opened the car window because we didn’t understand them. One of them approached and started offending us after a short conversation – Pokrivac said. The report was also issued by the official webpage of the club.
But it didn’t end there….
- One of them ran out of the crowd and hit Luco through the open window. He kicked his car with his leg and he broke the rearview mirror. Then two more people came and started hitting the car, but fortunately the light turned into green and we ran away. Anyway, it was not a pleasant experience – Pokrivac said.
This is only one more incident in the whole range that have happened recently. After Zoran Mamic was attacked in the night club Sokol the other day, there were the whole series of rude words coming from the stadium. Then the whole club administration objected to stop the offences. The only thing they did was a kind of counter effect when they saw a threatening graffiti addressed at the club’s employee Sanda Mamic.
After that the footballers were attacked. They represent the “holy” part of Dinamo, but this was not the first time. Several years ago the player Igor Biscan had been attacked at the same place. A hooligan had broken his rearview mirror as well, but he had left the car and knocked him down. The player Dario Zahora had also been attacked by hooligans.
