Text

Medical equipment was donated to the oncology section of the Sisters of Charity Hospital on Monday, for treating seriously ill children.

For the World Day of the Sick, the Canadian Embassy and the Croatian society against cancer, as the organizers of the humanitarian activity The Terry Fox Run, donated three state of the art machines to the Sisters of Charity Hospital worth 640 thousand kuna.

Quality medical equipment will make treatment and recovery for seriously ill children with carcinomas substantially easier. These are ultrasound diagnostics for the brain and abdomen, air stabilizer and a digester for producing citostatics, said dr. Franjo Hajnzic for the newspaper Vecernji list.

The machines were oficially handed over by the Canadian ambassador Thomas Marr, on behalf of the donator.
