Humanitarian concert "Where are you, friend?" took place in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on Monday.
The main sponsor of the campaign is the City of Zagreb. In his short speech, mayor Milan Bandic himself promised ongoing support of the City Hall for this organization's projects.
Numerous stars of the Croatian music scene took part in the humanitarian concert, the proceeds of which should make it possible to create five jobs for people with disabilities.
"When we started this campaign, many were doubtful of its success, so I would primarily like to thank mayor Milan Bandic for the support he showed," said Slobodan Miscevic, head of the Dynamiss Croatia organization support team.
Oliver Dragojevic, Goran Karan, Aki Rahimovski and many other stars also performed a band-aid song called "Gdje si, prijatelju?" at the end of the concert.
The goal of the entire campaign is to provide permanent employment for 150 people with disabilities in 30 Croatian towns over the course of the next four years and thus solve their and their families' existential problems. The name of the campaign, "Gdje si, prijatelju?" (Where are you, friend), is taken from the song by the author Slobodan Misevic, scored by Niksa Bratos and performed by about 20 of the most eminent Croatian singers.
