Hundred Croats Go To Iraq for Money

The only thing Americans offer them is a good salary, and this is good enough to risk your head and lead other people`s battles.

For help in Iraq, American company in Croatia seeks drivers, cooks, storage keepers, nurses and cleaners, and because of the salary of 5,500 euro at least, around a hundred Croats applied.

Not even the warning that they could die in Iraq and their body would be cremated did not discourage them, and before the departure to the war zone they will undergo a 15-day training in Houston, the Vecernji list daily reports.

There, the volunteers will obtain skills such as putting on nuclear, biological or chemical war equipment, they will be examined by doctors and they must pass a drug test.

In the Zagreb Sheraton hotel, where the interview took place, mostly young people came in search of any kind of employment.

The Americans are not satisfied with the response because in Sarajevo more than a thousand candidates applied, but they are here until February 26.
