Slogar has been lying since the word go and this is why I have doubts regarding the murder. If it was revenge, why didn`t he kill me?
ZAGREB, CROATIA - Balistic experts` testimony which refutes the deposition of Mladen Slogar Zila in the murder case of 26-year-old law intern Ivana Hodak did not surprise her father, attorney Zvonimir Hodak. He said that Slogar`s version of events had no relation to material evidence, which he said previously during the investigation.
- Slogar lies about nonsense, any he alone knows why he lies. This is why I have doubts regarding the motive. I don`t understand, because if Slogar wanted to retaliate, why did he kill Ivana, and not me? All of this, which he said, is not solid – Hodak concluded.
I believe that Slogar is the killer, but there are still doubts that he did it because of some imaginary revenge, because I can`t see a reason for it, or anyone else behind it for that matter. I cannot precisely say that someone told him what to do, instructed him, but I believe that there were persons or a person who ordered it.
Hodak reminded that there are tons of things Slogar told the investigators which proved to be lies. Thus, Slogar said that upon murdering Ivana, he fled through the back door.
- There is no back door to my building. At the same time, he said he had followed Ivana from the Art Pavilion, which also proved to be false, because she drove her car to the building and parked in front of the entrance – Hodak said.
Hodak said that only Slogar can explain this and that other testimonies of experts would probably confirm this, which will be sufficient motive to have more doubts that Slogar pulled the trigger.
Balistic experts determined that the murder of Ivana Hodak was committed with a gun found in Mladen Slogar`s possession, but they cannot confirm that the murder was committed in the fashion he had described.
This fact opens the possibility that Slogar did not commit the crime he is charged with, which he confessed. The same doubt was published in a recent article by the New York Times as well.
Ivana Hodak’s Killer’s Arrest Did Not Erase Doubts
The author wrote that despite the killer`s arrest, doubts over the monstrous murder have not been erased. The author cites Zvonimir Hodak, who said that according to all evidence, his daughter`s murder was not committed by a amateur, but professionals.
- The case is tangled in tiny lies. Why would someone want to kill Ivana? Why not me instead? – Hodak said in an interview for The New York Times.
